HS2 tunnel in RED runs directly under proposed housing. We are waiting for HS2 to respond but it is possible land above the tunnel will be restricted for development. (as it is with cross rail)

The area in GREY is HS2  ‘Protection Safeguard Area’. They need access to this area in perpetuity.

The roof of the tunnel is only is 20m below ground and site development will require excavation for foundations and drainage directly above the tunnel.
